Nervous Tension Poem by D.N. Rebb

Nervous Tension

Rating: 5.0

You ain't no Martin Luther, pal
Yet you fill the room with morale
Stop talking with your busy hands
All eyes are gazing where you stand
Undoubtedly speak in vain now
Make sure you wipe sweat from damp brow
No one here wants to impeach you
So let your worthy words subdue
Do not suffer like a martyr
Whose very circumstance has turned
Read your quotes like term presidents
Recite exactly what you meant
Simple faith, ignore the anthems
Don't worry, the applause will come

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
it's a fictional president
