Never As They Seem Poem by David Harris

Never As They Seem

Rating: 5.0

Some things are
never as they seem,
some call it magic,
others call it trickery,
but all of it is an illusion
to hoodwink our brain,
confuse our senses
into believing it is real.
We all use it at times
especially writers like me
in getting your readers
to believe what is not real.
I never do it intentionally
and most of the time it just happens.
I have forgotten how
many times over the years
that friends have asked me, is that me.
My answer is always no,
I only write fiction except
for an occasional dedication
and then there name
is always underneath the title.
