Never Before Poem by Valerie Anderson

Never Before

Rating: 4.0

Gazing at the stars,
my heart broken to the core.
For once I fell in love,
like no other time before.

I met him from the mountains,
just texted and window based.
The butterflies set in,
and with such beauty he was graced.

With kindness and a voice,
she patched up every sore.
Was it meant to be,
as it's never been before?

Hand in hand, we walked,
my faith to him I swore.
As we kissed that first sweet time,
we melted upon the floor.

Lots of hurdles came,
with those came the pain.
But after all that we'd endured,
one fact remains the same.

Seasons spend together,
we broke apart and drifted away.
The fact remains the same, I still love him.
Forever and ever more.

I pray that he'll come back,
I hope I'm in his mind.
So much I want to share,
I don't care if love is blind.

As he drifts away, there's nothing more,
I want more to feel.
His love again,
As I've never felt before.
