Never To Be Kept Secret Poem by Amitava Sur

Never To Be Kept Secret

Rating: 5.0

Flower and fragrance
Should never be kept secluded or hidden.
Within no time – delicate petals will turn dry
And the intoxicating fragrance will also fly.

Love is like an innocent and tender flower only
Never to be kept secret or very hush
By any chance or when one does leave
The other, remaining, is totally a dead.

So delicate this love is
That with a little tweak it dries up like petals.

True love emanates the aura of it’s own
As a flower always spreads it’s fragrance.

Love is for joy and peace only
Never to be kept secret.

Fantastic imagery! Love how you compare love to a flower, especially the fragrance of a flower, it matches love so succinctly in your poem. Definitely, love should never be kept a secret, it is always meant to be shared between two people. Impeccable rhythm throughout, Amitava! Give you a 10 for sure! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

Pure dedication to love. A worthy comparison of love and the loved. These striking words should be on a Valentine’s card. Liked it.

By any chance or when one does leave The other, remaining, is totally a dead. So true. But the living must live only remembering the great times.
