Never to come back
Tuesday,27th April 2021

Your face shine sends me a shiver
I noticed you had a mild fever
with little cold and cough
I could hardly smile or laugh

family members were not worrying,
but I was carrying an impression,
was this an end of the relation?
will he not return to this earthly heaven?

there were symptoms of Corona triple mutants
I had read about it
we were reading about the shortage of oxygen
and non-availability of beds even

somehow I had hidden apprehension
that this is an end of the blood relation
I may not find him again
it will cause me lots of pain

his condition worsened
and saddened us
it added more concern
and took an ugly turn

we did not find him again
among us to share our joy and pain
he bade farewell and said goodbye
we are now forced to live and try a new way
