Never Your Product Of Misery Poem by Paula Glynn

Never Your Product Of Misery

No matter the past I faced
I refuse to be your product of misery
I shall keep my friends
Staying at my side
For I have plenty of pride

I look after my inner and outer self
I refuse to be your product of misery
I shall have success
That time won't end
And niceness I do not pretend
For I am real
And love I never fake
And love I never take

I will share my opinion
Whether loud or quiet
Across the room
My thoughts and opinions
To be forthright
And never held back in fear

And if you come near
Your body a weapon
I will promise you
My body is also a weapon
For my personal space
Is truly mine and mine alone
Everywhere my palace
My opulent home

Every group, room and stage
Belongs to me
Where once I felt fear
Yet I am confident and set free
Never to be your product of misery
Never to let you win
Or live a life of crime or sin

So if you're looking for competition
You've got it
While I won't destroy you
Because I am the creator
Rather than the destructor
My soul all the colours of the rainbow
And I can never be left blind
My soul never black or white

And I save others, I am nice
So mess with me
And you won't have to look twice
My body wound up for a fight
As I am protected
By the above white light
My smile never vanished
And my pride never destroyed
No matter tactics employed

I am the ultimate
I am the chosen one
Life where I do have some fun
My decisions keeping the morning sun
Rising for everyone
Life easier for the world
Where prayers are always heard
No one a product of misery.
