New Year's Mission Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

New Year's Mission

With celebrations over,
Christmas now laid to rest,
It's time to face this brand new year,
With one big ultimate test,
No more chocolate,
No more cake,
Must get fit,
For pity's sake!
No more crisps,
No more chips,
Let healthy food,
Pass through my lips,
From today I'm losing weight,
I'm feeling optimistic,
And I can't wait,
To fit into those favourite clothes,
I'm on a mission,
Being slim is my goal!
Right now it seems a long way off,
I've still got some chocolate's,
That need to be scoffed!
