New Year's resolution,2023. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

Bidding adieu to the year gone by
we have set feet
in this new year.
The Creator gave us a chance to
correct our mistakes,
make our abode better.

The sea never begs water
from the rivers.
The rivers flow automatically,
pass over all hurdles,
pour their contents
along with water.
It is the home,
source of happiness,
hub of livelihoods
for most of the creatures,
strengthens hour economy,
ever ready to give us water and food.
If we resolve to make us
worthy like the seas,
wealth, happiness, peace
and bliss would be
automatically imbued.
