Nickel Flight Poem by Tailor Bell

Nickel Flight

Rating: 5.0

Shiny and twirling like a mad martin
Over a pond full of lazy mosquitoes

My nickel flipped end over end
My coinage near spun out

Out of flashing curvy flight
Out of my wishful tracking sight

Out of this wheeling gravity change
Out of string flew my nickel kite

Another great feat of expression - giving the simplest thing the most compelling apparel - recovering in the process something of the freshness of childhood experience. Now, that is good poetry! jim

Love the metaphors; love the images; love the whole, in its engaging simplicity. Best wishes :) jack

This is a joyful expression of youthful exuberance and release. Your images are highly original and the couplet shaping works a treat. Love it! Allie xxxxxxxxxxxx
