D-arkness and shadows
A-re slowly passing by;
N-ight soon will be over
I-n the eyes of the sky.
F-rom dusk till dawn, the night is standing by;
E-ventide is just waiting for the sun to rise up high.

T-oo soon night will be over,
O-therwise the morn won't break;
L-ight will come up bright,
E-ager for the chance to take.
N-ew day will wake you up
T-o let you see the fine weather;
I-n October second's eve
N-ight soon will be
O-ver.
