No Longer Droop In Sin Poem by Misty Heart

No Longer Droop In Sin

We walked together in the straight and narrow path;
You held my hand so tight.
And told me that mine eyes should stay in focus,
Still I turned to see the world around... I turned away
I turned away from you and walked the other way.

And worldliness embraced my soul and closed my eyes;
My heart was lost, still I gave in to temptations
and the sin covered my flesh...
Yea, there is sudden joy to cover pain;
but that's all.Over all, Im left in vain.

O, wretched mortal that i am!
My heart sorroweth because of my flesh.
My soul grieveth because of my iniquities...
and all i see is dark; all i see is dark.

I am encompassed about...
beecause of the temptations that weakens my soul
and the sins which do easily beset me.
Still, the darkness is all i see... that is all i see.

And when I desire to rejoice,
my heart groaneth because of my sins.
Nevertheless, I know in whom I trusted.
You have been my support but I left you.
Still, you filled me with your love
even unto the consuming of my flesh.

If so, in your great mercy and love,
why should my heart weep?
And my soul linger in the valley of sorrow;
and my flesh waste away and my strength slacken
because of my afflictions? because of these temptations?

And why should I yield to sin because of my flesh?
Yea, why should I give way to temptations
that the evil one have place in my heart
to destroy my peace and afflict my soul?
Why am I angry because of my fall?

Awake my soul, no longer droop in sin.
Rejoice o my heart and give place no more
for the oppressor of my soul.
For you had led me; held me tight again...
Awake my soul, no longer droop in sin.

And my soul linger in the valley of sorrow; and my flesh waste away and my strength slacken because of my afflictions? because of these temptations? the epic poetry never try to penetrate.... it applies to the universal outlooks
