No More Lies Poem by Randy McClave

No More Lies

I am tired of being used
Then turned left and right and confused,
No matter the tears someone cries
I want no more lies.

When I finish a book I know its ending
I do not like a story that stays pending,
Nor do I want a gift or a surprise
I just want no more lies.

I do not like to hear double talk
When I do, I then turn around and I walk,
No more if's, or's or why's
I just want no more lies.

We all have a sad story that we can tell
And how we fought and lived through Hell,
But, before the tears come from your eyes
Remember, I want no more lies.

I will always remember by whom I was hit
I have forgiven, but I will not ever forget,
So, please don't give me your whining or your sighs
I just want no more lies.

We are judged and known by the words we speak
Dishonesty makes a soul vulnerable and weak,
Honesty makes the soul wise
So, please no more lies.
