NOSTALGIC TIME!
It was an old wrist watch gifted, -
By my father during my college days;
Had suddenly slipped out of my hand
in a mysterious way!
Perhaps one of the strap fastening pins had
got loose,
But it certainly did make me feel all lost and
confused!
It was a black dial Camy of foreign make,
Which I loved to wear for old times sake!
The Camy bridged my past with my present,
And I use to put it on without any false
pretense, -
With all its value added sentiments!
Having lost this watch of early sixties,
It brought back many nostalgic memories!
A few days of timelessness I had to endure,
Though time can never be confined, that’s for
sure!
I finally purchased a replacement watch today,
A simple Titan to make me flow with time’s
sway!
The coolest of Rolex, to the cheapest watch of
Chinese make,
Can neither alter time’s flow, nor retrieve lost
time for our sake!
