Not Who You Are Poem by Randy McClave

Not Who You Are

Never wish them pain
Never have that thought lying on your brain,
And never be part of a bad memoir
Because, that is not who you are.

Never wish them hurt
Don't hope good things from them will desert,
Even though they did you bad
For their joy and happiness be always glad.

Never wish them to be blue
Because they have lied or used you,
If they have hurt you just forgive them
Don't look for sadness or to be grim.

Never wish them a sadness
Always wish them Joy and a gladness,
Never give them pity or shame
Now happily look at who you became.

If they had caused you pain
It's because inside of them a hurt does rain,
Give them help and love and a happy feeling
Always wish them joy and healing.
