Nothing To Prove Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

Nothing To Prove

Rating: 5.0

Who has the right to say
that my life was in vain
If adventure and excitement
was not what I gained.
The highest mountains I haven't climbed
The deepest oceans I haven't swam
The exotic I haven't felt
The mystic I haven't dealt.
So many places I haven't been
So many foods I haven't tasted
But does that imply
that this life has been wasted?
I have loved from my heart
I have lost from my heart
Have endured hurt and pain
Struggled again and again.
I haven't roamed the world to'find myself'
I have always stayed home being myself.
I stand before you with nothing to prove
A living epitome of ordinary, but true.

A very brave and honest poem, Nidhi. The last four lines are very cleverly written and powerful.
