O How I Wish!

O how I wish I could create a poem
As significant as a prayer or hymn:
That would blossom like a beautiful, bold
Flower with a power drawn from within!
By blending noble thought and warm passion,
It would transcend the world's fleeting fashions.
More precious than countless, verbose pages;
O it would echo throughout the ages!
