Ode To A Muse Poem by Charlie F. Kane

Ode To A Muse

Rating: 4.0

You know you make me smile.
You do you know.
You make me smile to think of you,
To hear your voice,
To see you smile.

If your voice be that of an angel,
Then I’ll write you a song
You can sing it all yourself
And I shall listen in rapture.

If you were an actress
I would write you a play,
A character for you only,
A chance for you to shine to others apart from I.

You are not a singer,
So I couldn’t write you a song
You are not an actress,
So I couldn’t write you a play.
You may be none of those things,
But you can make me smile,
So all I give you is all I could give.

I like this a lot, Its simple and optamistic. I think thats why i like it. Im far too into poems of 'culture, alienation, boredom and despair'.
