Of Varying Cultures And Races Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Of Varying Cultures And Races

Racists will always deny their contempt,
With the keeping of people reminded...
That one's appearance,
To them makes no difference.
And they do this to mention to convince,
Whenever the opportunity presents...
A doing done to bring attention to it.

'You know...
My desk is located amongst those,
Of varying cultures and races.
I want you to know how important that is...
For me especially.'

~I'm glad to hear that. That's great.
However...
I've come to the restroom to use it.
Not to discuss your political 'insights'.~
