Old Boy And The School Bus! - Poem by nimal dunuhinga
Passionate mind travels along the memory lane
You don't remember me
as you're just enrolled
to the Upper Kindergarten
While I was in grade nine?
The parapet wall divided our flowery schools
Mostly I was out of the class
As a punishment peeping over the wall
and look at the girl's school playground.
Yes, your new yellow coloured bus
won't stop here, the old man with a pile of books
goes to the Library......................this old bush-shirt
and the Khaki trouser denotes the pupil's uniform
in the Life-School?
