Old School Poem by Otevia Andrew

Old School

Rating: 4.3

Did we know?
When we swam thru
puberty,
Our chest broader,
Our shoulders larger,
Our voice coarse,
We were on course.

Did we know?
When we defied parental rules,
Rebelled at school,
Cared little who was who,
Our swag were big shoes.
It was the time of youth.

Do we know?
When we lose some hair,
Pant when we climb a stair,
The new generation think us old fashioned
We remind them men were once boys
That they know nothing
Though we ourselves grow old
Not knowing time is taking its toll.

I like old fashioned people. they are so cute! AND SOMEHOW bring comfort.

This is the cycle that has existed always. The young don't listen to the wisdom of age and experience and the yet the aged wish again to be young. Thanks, Otevia
