Omnia Vincit Amor, Et Nos Cedamus Amori Poem by Ramona Thompson

Omnia Vincit Amor, Et Nos Cedamus Amori

Omnia vincit Amor, et nos cedamus Amori
Love conquers all, Let us all yield to love
Enough with bombs
Enough with war
No more fighting
Let us all begin anew
Let us all start living and loving
No more old men ranting
No more of our young soliders dying
No more mothers crying
This is we seek
This is all that we want
Just as our hero Lennon once long ago sang
So do we tonight our voices as one to ask
Won't you?
Oh won't you give peace a chance?
Underneath the moon, the stars and the sun
No matter the color of our skins or the lovers in our beds
Tonight
Let us one
Let us all make these words our very own universal truth
Omnia vincit Amor, et nos cedamus Amori
