On A Poet's Notice - Poem by Ted Sheridan

With my eyes
affixed on her shapely body
she returns the look back at me
as if she can see

through my dark glasses
and into my thoughts
of lust and need
she reads my mind

knowing my hands are empty
and my fingers itch
to touch her___
I would love to talk dirty to her

but she only likes my poetry

Well written and witty with a truth in that twist that most poets can relate to!
