On and on and on
A lone forlorn man got on phone alone
Frozen to the bone his tone like a stone
He over slept
His phone he kept
"Mayday! Mayday! " he mourned in the storm
On and on and on
Tom got stoned missed the lone plane
He played Simon and Garfunkels' song to remain sane
"Tom get your plane right on time"
He played it on and on and on into the night
On and on and on
O-ne day the Corona Virus will be gone
N-ormalcy returns no need to be alone
A-ll people of the world will celebrate
N-ewly weds no longer celibate
D-eath will recede to the dungeon
O-nly happy people will club on
N-o longer afraid to hug and kiss
A-ll embracing those they missed
N-ow the question will be asked
D-epartments of sociology tasked
O-ne question to ask on the phone
N-ext time do people know how to
love and live on and on and on?
Mayday might have the answer as maybe in case people decide to live together more than enjoying lone company far-off... mayday may teach good lesson.
