On Beauty Poem by Matthew Holloway

On Beauty

I am a slave to beauty
I fall upon my knees before it
offer praise in abundence
that I may be inspired to write
an ode, a verse, a song
all to celebrate that I hold dear
a pretty face, a kind spirit
a picturesque scene
nature both calm and wild
I serve only to express
my heart, my mind, my soul
my every being serves
all that is beautiful
