When I heard him
to speak French,
I thought: “My French,
though not fluent,

I love these brief moments of triumph. But then, there are so many more languages I can't speak: (A funny one. It is true that brevity is the soul of wit. Warmly, Julia (Report) Reply

Hahaha, Peter! Been there/thought that! ... Just glad I wasn't foolish enough to say, 'May I be of help? ' (Report) Reply

Oh, I'm laughing Pete! So true. My favourite is when you see people shouting slowly at someone who can't speak English, as if that's going to help somehow! J'adore.
Hugs (from a terrible French speaker)
