On Standby Poem by Hebert Logerie

On Standby

Rating: 5.0

On standby
Watching over you
Under the chilly blue sky
Not too far from the crew
Who was about to bury
A special daddy
I was on standby
Ready to protect you
Ready to die
For your sorrow
Standing on the last row
Where you were hugged
By your girlfriend
I was ready to lend a hand
In case a satanic thug
Unashamedly decided to take you
Too the precipice. Death is like that
Sometimes, she comes like a deadly bat
That's unafraid to screw or to sue
I was on standby
Ready to protect you
From any hazard. It's sad to cry
God creates tears to rescue
The heart in time of sorrow
For a better tomorrow
Out of danger, I walked away
Like a guardian angel
Later on, on your way
To the chapel
I kissed your forehead
Blew you a kiss
For love, good health and peace
And move ahead
To think about you
And to dream of you
By the way
I am out of your way
Yet, I am still on standby
Love makes me cry
All the time, my queen
I am in love, I am clean
Love brings sadness
Love brings happiness
Love is truly crazy
Goodbye, goodbye
I am still on standby.

Love is really crazy by the odd things we do when in love. Nice poem...10.
