On The Way To The Forum
Life is strange
And ever changing,
Once upon a time
We were taught
To share and teach
What's good,
Kind and useful
For All,
Yet today,
In the USA,
I am ashamed to say
Many are taught
Hate and disrespect,
By the very ones,
We wrongly, Elect
And other contributors,
Of slime and slander
That only corruption
And evil, "Respect"!
Time to get priorities
Straight,
Democracy is Not
A free for all,
Nothing of value,
Nothing that will
Really last,
Can be gotten
Without work and sacrifice,
So, time to stop weaving
Political fairy tales
And on the way,
To the Forum of Truth
Drop all masks,
That so disgracefully
Have lied and failed.

An accurate summary of our times - well written in poetic form! We are now looking at how people are destroying the USA. As someone said: " We now see the enemy and the enemy is us! " . Many including myself feel impotent since we do not know what to do. The only tool we have is the ballot but that seems to be not enough. I have observed a 3rd world country's downward spiral into lack of integrity, intolerance, corruption and violence... and I am starting to see it in the US now.
