Once Awakened Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Once Awakened

Once one awakens,
To appreciate the knowing of 'self'...
Everything and everyone else,
Becomes more understood to accept.
For what it is and who they are.
On their terms.
And left to be as is.
Not what we think or wish it to be.
Based upon a consciousness,
Restricted to a limited vision.

Since this...
Is what diversity is.
Unlimited.
Meant to be as is created.
And who is not here to witness,
Being a part of creation to experience?
Besides those who find time to complain,
About changes made...
While they make attempts,
To remain the same.
'Down to Earth' on a changing World!
