One Day After Another Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

One Day After Another

O-ne day after another
L-eaves yesterday once more;
G-reets the next morning
A-fter the night like before.

D-ay twenty-nine of June
E-nds the deep dark shadow;
L-ight has begun to shine,
O-ne dawn denies the
S-orrow.

R-eturn of the new day
E-ndorses fantastic fun;
Y-our birth brings much mirth,
E-mitting flames from the
S-un.

L-ook upon the dark sky,
O-pen your eyes to the test;
P-ray to the Lord in heaven,
E-ither for gladness or for
Z-est.

A-llow the morrow to come,
V-iew it with hope and faith;
I-n spite of the twilight,
L-et your heart always wait.
E-vening soon will pass by, its cold chill will be over;
S-un will surely shine, one day after another.
