I want to say what I feel
About the poet and his works
Not for money or praise
Not for fame or status
The message must be sent
In a line or two
We can't run in seconds but can create
We can't sing in albums but I think we can write
We may only be discovered when gone - Poor poets
And they will say 'was a good writer' - after all
If and only if someone reads our work
May be we want the money and fame
Some little praise and status will do too
And the same will make us proud
I think the message will be out
Some day when someone reads these poems
And the fame
And the pride
And the message that comes with it too
Will be felt
One day...just one day for the poet

A ha! Beautiful and quite true. I believe poets are priceless vessels on the surface, but with expensive jewels hidden somewhere in their belly.
