One Last Kiss - Poem by Josh Howell

so here i am, laying on the floor
just trying to find
some peace
in my mind
im lost without you
can we please keep in touch
i wish you wouldnt have gone away
i wasnt asking for much
so please help me
i cry every night
and everytime i think of you
in my mind theres a fight

why did you have to leave
why did you have to go
you left me with so many questions
the answers i didnt know
so now im left with a broken heart
i didnt want it to come to this
and before you left
i wish you couldve gave me one last kiss

ill miss your laugh
ill miss you smile
i wont see it
for a long while
ill miss your eyes
ill miss you
and its hurts to know
you'll find someone new
i wish we didnt end on a bad note
at night it keeps me wide awake
i wish you wouldve dated me
and not caused me heart ache.

why did you have to leave
why did you have to go
you left me with so many questions
the answers i didnt know
so now im left with a broken heart
i didnt want it to come to this
and before you left
i wish you couldve gave me one last kiss

im so confused
i dont know what to do
all i wanted
was a fucking chance with you
and since youre gone
i cry myself to sleep
and i scream your name
as i helplessly weep
youre no longer there
to wipe away the tears
like you always did
the past couple years

why did you have to leave
why did you have to go
you left me with so many questions
the answers i didnt know
so now im left with a broken heart
i didnt want it to come to this
and before you left
i wish you couldve gave me one last kiss

whyd you do this to me
will you please make it end
all i wanted
was to be more then a friend
i gave you my heart
and you threw it in the trash
sometimes i wish i got into
a severe car crash
i dont wanna continue
if youre not here
and i wanna say to you
i love you dear..
