One Of Two Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

One Of Two

The saying of the same thing said.
By two to do.
But a few hear it from one.
Because of tone making a difference.
Then when asked why the long face.
With a mumbling done.
The one of two thought to be rude.
And displays indifference.
Sits and refuses to respond.
As if to ignore those who bore.
While getting stares and attention.
Yet to say nothing more.

Silence pursued and done to do.
May not be what others wish.
When one decides it is time for it.
To notice only then,
The attention one gets.
And realizing it may be one's virtue.
