One Thousand Peso Bill Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

One Thousand Peso Bill

R-ise of the sun begins,
O-n twenty-third January;
S-unday shadow and rain
H-ave disappeared finally.
I-t's a beautiful Monday,
E-vening haze is over;
L-et the beacon come, as you wake from slumber.

N-ew dawn has broken,
A-fter the dusk and twilight;
C-old chill has turned
I-nto a warm and bright light.
O-ne occasion of mirth, pleasure, joy, and thrill;
N-ever be unwise in spending your one thousand peso bill.
