Only At Night Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

Only At Night

Bright, sunny optimistic
it sure was a glorious day
But with dull gloomy eyes
she was forever out of place
No amount of pleading from
the flowers and breeze alike
was able to change her mood
or coax out a reluctant smile.
And then it was time for dusk
the sun was bidding goodbye
and she cast a glance upward
for the familiar glint of moonlight.
And then despite her pain
she would somehow smile again
Looking at the white shining orb
her secret lover in the sky.
Greeting each other as old friends
her mood took a dreamy flight
The moon making her glow
like an angel of the night.
