We were like two boats
drifting apart on the waves of life
with nothing to bind us together.
And then you came along
the fusion of our love
long inscribed on our hearts.
Your smile full of life
your face so divine
Tugging at our hands
touching our hearts
Tethering us to each other again
and this time forever.
