Optical Illusions Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Optical Illusions

Rating: 5.0

Optical illusions.

It's a paradox of life
We need to balance things right
The more we progress
The more we regress
Compare and contrast
The skycrapers of Tokyo Japan
The round huts in the village
Which do you prefer instead
the hut in the outback
Or the concrete jungle in Quebec

It's all about optics
These are illusions optical
Things appearing modern
People become beholden
But the intrinsic value
Is in the natural valley
A place of virgin land
Where people understand
The balance of an ecosystem
Using renewable solar systems

Lets find a balance
Modernity is a fallacy
We are destroying earth
Causing widespread death
Renewable energy
Resulting from synergy
Is the way to go
For food for all
We need equilibrium
In this conundrum

A good concept of optical illusion.
