Our Brain Poem by David Harris

Our Brain

Rating: 5.0

From the moment we wake
until the moment we sleep,
our brain is actively learning
everything we see
for future reference
if the need be.
Every little cry and silent sigh
gets a place back there.
It is also duly noted
with loving care
in case in the future
it might be needed by us somewhere.
Every once in a while,
our brain puts together a story
and that cry and sigh
is inserted somewhere.
We’ll awake in the morning
and say to some one,
I had the strangest dream last night.
When in fact it was our brain
creating a story just for us.

I don't know what my brain is learning or storing because I've had some weird dreams lately......: O)
