Our Daughters
Their tears tear us apart
Their giggles have cheered us
Right from start.
Their victories over us
In the game of words
The flights of their fancy
Beat the birds
The dream filled eyes;
Make us think
While;
An eternity passes;
In their naughty blink
Layers of dreams and
Competitive priorities
Mock fights and feigned adversaries
Blackmails and many an innocent cheat
They know for them
Our hearts beat
