If there were only dawns
and sunsets never came
I wonder if this world
would ever been the same.
If there were only births
and no one ever died,
over population
would be the rule of the day.
No one would be able to move.
We’d all be standing upright
and our green lovely planet
wouldn’t be green and lovely
anymore.
