Our Happy Place Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Our Happy Place

Rating: 5.0

Thoughts of days when golden rays
of sunshine shone around,
Long walks across the mountainside,
Wild flowers there we found.

The sounds of birds were clearly heard,
Amidst the slender trees,
Where butterflies danced to and fro,
Joined by the humming bees.

For life back then was at its best,
In natures hands we shared,
The finest days we ever lived,
Nothing can compare.

If only time had paused a while,
If we were young forever,
I'd walk with you again and again,
Our happy time together.

I understand it all. So many people we miss.
