Our Journey In Life - Poem by pushpasaurabha sugandha

Our journey in Life.

I joined you when you were thirty-seven
When I was younger to you by years eleven
Everyone said, we are made for each other
After a year and a half, I became a mother

Together we watched our daughter grow
Also the plants in the garden in a row
Our joint lives saw more of joy and less of sorrow
We had our own savings and never did we borrow

How we made together, decisions correct
All our plans were executed with precision perfect
Obstacles and losses in life were very few
They were like on flowers and leaves, drops of dew

We gave our daughter good discipline and education
She in turn by her conduct brought us good reputation
Our son-in-law is for our daughter, the partner best
He is good and has towards life, quest and zest

We later saw our little grandson smile
His walk and talk measure up to a big pile
We did build a house and had a sweet home
Visited people, places and did roam

What happened? You became weak day by day
Without much movement, on the bed you lay
I questioned God and he had nothing to say
How I wished the bad day, was kept at bay

I travelled along with you until the start of 2008 year
How could you leave me and go away so soon my dear?
The rich and lovely thirty-two years are of great importance
Well, the quality time we spent together is my reminiscence.
