The Sun was shining all over
Along the sea shore.
Unbearable was the heat
For our feet dipped in the soil.
The sea water kept us thirsty.
Still we walked together
Holding hand in hand
Wrote our names
On the sands of time.
Over the the years-
We watched
How the winds blew
From the sea to the land
During the day time
And seawards after the evenings.
We witnessed
The calmness of winter,
The summer rage,
The storms of monsoon,
All the rules of nature
As two bystanders.
While the time has passed-
I still look for the traces
Of our names we wrote
On the sand bed of our prime
By connecting to the memories
I still have access to
And the rest
To which all roads are now closed.
