Out Of The Abyss
To liberate ourselves
from being slaves
to our dark
and wicked thoughts--
is like flying
to heavens above.
It is the courage
to destroy the prisons
we have built
and trust our internal wings
we never knew we owned.

There's days when the dark thoughts are like sharp chains holding me down. This poem reminds me of the need to fight.
