Over Misty Mountain Caps - Poem by Sara Stowell

Over misty mountain caps, beneath a setting sun
Silently awaiting, assured of comfort to come
Breaths expelled carried high upon a gentle wind
Soar ever onward; granting peace amidst the din

Stars silver raiment, in moonlit shadows grow
Flames rise higher from sparked embers glow
Cool swift waters slake newly wakened thirst
Lightening strikes over stormy cloud seized bursts

Across the dusky valley of emerald carpet green
Within the haze of crystal light a rainbow can be seen
Arched high across the valley floor as night comes for the day
A glimpse is caught as darkness grasps the dimming ray

Cloud streaked skies, obscure the distant midnight sun
Opening as a curtain draws; brings forth the quiet moon
Chill winds blow but none dare cast the beauty of the night
Whence living brings new warmth alone to swage a freezing bite
