Over Song Cau Poem by Thanh-Thanh NhuanLe

Over Song Cau

There's Sông Cầu! That span of bridge yonder
Brings me back on the past sorrow to ponder.
The coconut trees being still tall in their row
As if recognizing me, waggle to wave hello.

Yes, the old years' one is myself here, acumen.
Sights still remember, human off forgets human.
With one side fell in, the other extended, the river
Still keeps a lonely sand path in dusk to deliver.

Over the bridge here, now is a passer-by so cool;
Down there hidden by the garden the old school.
Transfer request was approved or broke down
To continue feruling with coconut ocreas around?

Now that the exam has been passed, laurels won,
Does it soon or again reserves for a future to shun?
With empty hands, I have been and have nothing,
Still confused like the first time I met that being.

The river in shallow seasons still remains long;
Stagnant, my immense sadness stays a torch-song.
