Panacea for the worlds ills.
Chicken soup in America.
'Mr President, the twin-towers
were destroyed by el caida terrorists.'
The President replies:
'You wouldn't have any chicken soup
on you, would you? '
A cup of tea in England.
'Prime Minister, the nazis have bombed
the shyte out of London.'
Prime Minister replies:
'Bastards, we'd better have a cup of tea
and think about this.'
The world would disintergrate without our 'cup of tea' it is certainly a panacea. It keeps us going through thick and thin. Very enjoyable piece, very well thought out by Sir. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
Jerry, you hit the nail on the head about us Brits. Cup of tea then think about it. Bravo my friend. Not too sure about our American cousins whether it is chicken soup or a coffee. Never mind no truer words spoken. You'd get top marks if I could give it. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David
The Irony is compelling and so true. As my dear Aunt Constance used to say, 'never mind, dear, no matter how awful it gets, there's always tea and bed.' Only one poet on this site could have written this. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
