I am
the grey that strokes your temple
the sigh of your breath
the itch in your palm
the strike of your match.

I am, at times
the cramp in your side
the eye of your storm
the eclipse of your sun.

But I will be as well
your vessel of voyage
the hand on your cane
the wheels of your chair
and the ashes riding tandem on your wave.

Heart-wrenching beauty. That's all I have to say. A fine poet, and a fine lady you are! ~Ray.

I HAD to come check out this poem. Very nice work-the lines are spare, and there is no wasting of words. It is also clear from your choices of images that these are very particular and intimate details. Well done. this poem will make everyone think of someone he or she loves.

Lori...this is a very, very beautiful love poem. The images are simple without being cliched, and they 'feel' real as if you left a little skin in this one.10+.
