Passing Into No Man's Land

Rating: 5.0
to build a life from whence it came
seeing nothing anyone else sees

as the past passes into no man's land
sliding along in its shadows and dreams

asking where does time go, even when slow
taking in hand those that we meet and greet

watching what fills space so inadequately
leaving in every step each second lived

framing our own death on the mantlepieces
of everyone to whom we owe our acquaintance

Do very true words. I liked the last lines framing our own death on the mantlepieces of everyone to whom we owe our acquaintance.
