Past And Future - Poem by Serena Taylor

As I take a step forward
I can't help but look back.
Some memories are fading,
And some my mind lack.

My heart starts aching
As I remember that life.
The pain is intense,
Like I've been stabbed by a knife,

The future is waiting,
But I can't let go.
The past is fading fast,
Yet my reaction is slow.

Finally I made the decision.
And let go of the past.

We should not forget past, should we? No matter, you rememeber your past or forget it, but never forget to work in the present as a day called tomorrow which never comes... (Report) Reply

Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow. Creed by these words. It sets you in a protective mood. To find is to lose, to lose is to find. (Report) Reply
