We always see the Past
Before our eyes
Silently weeping
Exactly what happens
When we see
a dear Dying
We look at the movie actors
Who we saw in the Pasttime
Youthfully acting
The singers
Merrily singing
The school where we were learning
The teacher who taught us
We see his young face
Smiling
His straight posture
Here and there swiftly
Walking
We forget that
He has lost his smiles
his stature is crooked
When moving
Trilling
We see the Past generally
more cheerful, more exciting
less boring
Happier, more beautiful
Healthier, easier
charming
We do not long for the Past
For its beauty
But for the ugliness of our Present
Lamenting
Crying
We don't think and yearn for the Past
Because it was beautiful and kind,
But because of Us
We were happier
more beautiful,
Kinder
Easier
Charming
Cheerful
Simpler
And mainly because we were
more tolerating
